Kathy Pooler

Kathy PoolerKathleen Pooler is a writer and a retired Family Nurse Practitioner who has been working on a memoir about the power of hope through her faith in God since 2009 when she joined the National Association of Memoir Writers. She has loved writing since she was eight years old and began writing plays and acting them out in front of her maternal grandmother, Nan, and all her Italian friends. She feels she has found her voice through the many NAMW workshops and teleseminars she has participated in and through the community of memoir writers who have supported her.

She believes that hope matters and that we are all strengthened and enlightened when we share our stories. At the same time she was writing her memoir, she started a blog where she chronicles her writing journey and shares writing and publishing tips she has learned along the way, featuring wonderful guests.

Kathy blogs weekly at her Memoir Writer’s Journey blog: http://krpooler.com and can be found on Twitter @kathypooler and on LinkedIn, Google+, Goodreads, Facebook and Pinterest: Kathleen Pooler

One of her stories “The Stone on the Shore” is published in the anthology: The Woman I’ve Become: 37 Women Share Their Journeys From Toxic Relationships to Self-Empowerment by Pat LaPointe and another story, “Choices and Chances” is published in the My Gutsy Story First Edition Anthology by Sonia Marsh.
