Sharon Lippincott

Sharon Lippincott is a lifestory writing instructor and coach, and the author of The Heart and Craft of Writing Compelling Description, The Heart and Craft of Lifestory Writing, The Albuquerque Years, and several hundred vignettes, essays and stories about her life, many of which have been published. Her blog, The Heart and Craft of Life Writing, has been inspiring readers with writing tips, ideas, and insights since 2007. 

Sharon sits on the advisory board of National Association of Memoir Writers. She is a faculty member in the Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh Osher Programs and leads writing workshops online and in the Pittsburgh area. She serves as an advisor to Allegheny County  lifestory writing groups and is founder of WE WRITE! Creative Writing University in Allegheny County libraries. 

Her professional background began in training and development. In her business career, her book Meetings: Do’s, Don’ts and Donuts went into a second edition and she authored dozens of nationally published business articles. She earned degrees from Boston University and Central Washington University, and the Distinguished Thesis award from CWU. She holds the Distinguished Toastmaster award from Toastmasters, Intl.
