Grant Faulkner, expert on both writing long and writing short will discuss the mindset we need when approaching our writing. Grant has led National Novel Writing Month for 10 years, and invites us all to write with abandon—without fear and without that inner critic. Many people have been able to realize their creative potential and write the book of their dreams using this method—with many edits and revisions to follow, of course.
But Grant also is a fan of the flash piece—fiction or memoir. What a challenge it is to write short, brief, and focused stories. Yet, how refreshing. Takes lots of revision too, however!
Please join us as we talk about Grant’s book, Pep Talks for Writers, and his upcoming book, The Art of Brevity—and more. Check it out! https://www.indiebound.org/book/9781452161082
