Whether we like it or not, social media book marketing is key to building your author platform and to selling more books. For many authors, the idea of sharing themselves with the world through Twitter and other social media platforms can be petrifying. But in Twitter for Authors: Social Media Book Marketing for Shy Writers, you will discover simple ways to connect with your audience and potential readers, using Twitter specifically.
In this a special presentation for NAMW, presented by a shy writer, novelist and coach, Beth Barany, you’ll discover confidence and encouragement to step into social media and some how-to steps on what to say, how to find your followers, and how to present yourself in 140 characters or less.
This hour-long discussion will focus on:
- How to build your network on Twitter
- How to use special tools like hashtags and chats
- How to make best use of your Twitter time
- How to use Twitter to build your author career even before you’re published
- And more!
Based on the ebook (soon in print!), Twitter for Authors: Social Media Book Marketing for Shy Writers, Beth Barany wrote this book to be read and then acted upon, so you can build your audience and your brand today.

Beth, I am looking forward to your February 7th Roundtable discussion on using Twitter.
I have been writing for twenty years, but only decided to publish my work less than two years ago, of which I have had three books published. “Mystique” and “Immortal Justice” by Publish America and “Exit The Subzone” by Author House in the span of a year and a half. I have been told do not advertise my book on twitter and other say that I should, I am a bit confused honestly. Do I advertise and try to put out where to get my books or not and if so how I can be more productive in my advertising pitch. Thank you for your time Tina Taylor
I am a long-time writer of lifetime experiences. Ready to go.
I’m looking forward to this conference.
Hi–
I just got information about this and can’t participate but need it. Would there be a way to listen to the registered session later? I’d like to be there but I have made another commitment already.
Thank you!
